The Covid-19 strain is doing its best at Rockstar Games for this virus, the details are in the article.

The official Rockstar Games Twitter account announced that they will donate 5% of all proceeds from purchases made in GTA Online and Red Dead Online, the online modes of Grand Theft Auto V and Read Dead Redemption 2 . The funds will be used to help local communities and businesses affected by the impact of COVID-19. Donations will contribute to these communities and businesses as well as organizations that are actively helping those in need during this crisis. The article mentions North America, the UK, and India, so it has a chance to be the main focus from which donations are sent. However, these are where Rockstar 's main offices are located. While 5% doesn't seem like a lot of money, Rockstar generates most of its revenue from microtransactions. Rockstar Games and 2K's parent company Take-Two announced in February that microtransaction spend in GTA Online grew by 54% during the quarter. This ensures that major content updates like Diamond Heist keep players engaged after many years, thanks to GTA Online's constant updates. GTA VIt has sold over 120 million units worldwide, with 20 million of these units sold in 2019, six years after its PS3 and Xbox 360 debut. Read Red Redemption 2 was released in October 2018 and crossed 29 million sales with its recently released PC version.
