Riot Games' third-party publishing company, Riot Forge, announced on Tuesday three or even four new games set in the League of Legends universe, two of which are currently available. Ruined King: A League of Legends Story, Hextech: Mayhem; Let's take a quick look at the Song of Nunu and CONV/RGENCE games that are scheduled to be released in 2022 .
Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is a single-player turn-based RPG developed by Airship Syndicate, the team behind Battle Chasers: Nightwar and Darksiders: Genesis. Set in the Bilgewater and Shadow Isles regions of Runeterra, the Ruined King is based on an investigation into a disaster known as the Black Mist, with a team of League of Legends characters such as Ahri, Miss Fortune, and Braum. The common enemy of these characters is Viego, the Ruined King, as you can imagine.
Ruined King is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions coming soon. Existing PS4 and Xbox One users will be able to upgrade to new versions for free.
Next up is Hextech: Mayhem , which may sound familiar to anyone who's watched Arcane, the Netflix series hugely loved by just about everyone. Hextech: Mayhem is a "rhythm runner" developed by Choice Provisions, the studio behind the BIT.TRIP series. In a 2.5D world, players will control bomb-savvy Ziggs as he runs through a platformer-style world with special jumps and attacks powered by an arsenal of bombs, all tuned to the beat of the music. Hextech: Mayhem is out now on Switch and PC platforms.
Song of Nunu , Riot Forge's third game to be released in 2022, is a single-player third-person adventure game developed by Tequila Works, the studio behind Rime, The Sexy Brutale, and VR games like The Invisible Hours, Groundhog Day: Like Father Like Son.
In the cold land of Frejlord, we will witness the story of the young boy Nunu, who befriends a yeti named Willump. With the magic of music you will solve puzzles, fight wolves and explore the icy landscape. Riot Forge plans to release the game on Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and PC via Steam, GOG and the Epic Games Store.
Riot Forge also introduced a new game called " CONV/RGENCE " , a single-player 2D action platformer with time control mechanics . You will explore the cities of Piltover and Zaun in the game, which will feature Ekko, the character familiar to Arcane fans.
Developed by Double Stallion, the studio behind action games like Speed Brawl, OK KO Turbo, and Loud House: Outta Control , CONV/RGENCE will be released next year.
