Korean developer and publisher Krafton, owner of PUBG Corporation , announced that it will consolidate PUBG Corporation into PUBG Studio with the aim of expanding and diversifying PUBG , including PUBG Mobile and its related activities worldwide.
PUBG Studio , which will be Krafton's 4th studio , will work to expand the PUBG universe in related e-sports and entertainment areas . PUBG Studio will focus solely on improving PUBG gameplay-related aspects , including PC and console versions of PUBG , PUBG Mobile, regional developments, and other aspects.
Under Krafton's arm, Striking Distance Studios will operate as an independent entity from PUBG Studio . It was reported recently that Striking Distance Studios is developing an original story game that will be themed around the original PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds game. This studio is also collaborating with Krafton as the AAA game development studio, showing that the game can take PUBG beyond the live-game, battle royale approach.
