Periodic updates in PUBG Mobile bring a few new features to the game, keeping it interesting. Update 1.1 was released a few days ago and brought new Metro Royale mode, themed gameplay, security improvements and more.
One of the most important changes made in PUBG Mobile version 1.1 is the restriction of switching servers at will. The developers shared more details about this change in the Dev Log published yesterday, Nov.
" Developers also collect feedback from players through surveys. As a result, we have decided to restrict the ability to change servers at any time from PUBG Mobile Season 16. When the season starts, players will need to select and confirm the server they want to play on for the season." He added that "players cannot change the server again for 60 days after they approve it."
The developers added the following statements:
"If a player chooses a different server mid-season, the tier data will be transferred to the new server data."
After this restriction is applied, if players from different servers come together, the match will be played in the server/zone of the group/team leader. In this case, points, ranks and leaderboard will be earned on the selected server and not in any other region. According to the developers, this limitation will have its advantage in improved server latency and a stable regional gaming environment.
