Overwatch Summer Games Event Begins

The summer games event will be on all platforms for three weeks.

Developer Blizzard Entertainment announced that Overwatch 's Summer Games event kicks off today, August 4 , on PC , Nintendo Switch , PS4 , and Xbox One . The event will continue until August 26 . While Blizzard has yet to recap what else is in the new event lineup, it has a brand new skin for DPS hero Pharah. This Legendary Lifeguard costume suggests that some sort of sun-drenched fun event will take place over the next few weeks, where the characters are dressed to go to the beach.

Long time no sea.

Pharah isn't the only heroine to gain a new look in recent weeks. Tank hero Sigma made a Legendary appearance last month for those who earned enough during the Maestro Challenge event. Other Overwatch updates have recently made some adjustments to a few heroes. While the popular hitscan character McCree fulfills the noose spray, a recent patch tests some changes for Support hero Moira.
