New World Main Quests: “First Light”

We are in the First Light area in the New World mission guide. Let's take a look at the main missions of First Light, one of the starting areas.

Welcome to part 3 of the New World mission guide ! New World, which was finally released after years of development and multiple long beta periods, skyrocketed to the top of the charts on its first day, dominating both the Steam and Twitch rankings.

If you have logged into the game, your journey is now ready to begin. After completing a short introductory tutorial, the game will drop you into one of four starting zones: Monarch's Bluffs, First Light, Windsward, and Everfall . Unfortunately you don't have a choice in which area to start and you're less likely to spawn near your friends as you can't party before creating a character.

If you want to play together, choose a starting area and don't accept the next one after you have delivered the first quest at the time you were born. Make a sign for the watchtower where you want to start and walk there. Once you have your preferred starting area, you can start the main story quests given by NPCs in the watchtower.

In the previous quest guides, we explained the main story quests you need to do in the Monarch's Bluffs and Everfall region . Today's topic is 'First Light'. If you're ready, let's start!

• Talk to Nora Linch.
• Examine the shipwreck.
• Kill three Drowned.
• Get your reward from Nora.

♦ Basics of Survival (Level 2)

• Talk to Nora and get your quest.
• Gather Flint (Flint) from the ground.
• Gather wood from the bushes.
• Produce a flint skinning knife.

♦ A Fine Meal (Level 3)

• Get the quest by talking to Nora.
• Hunt Boar.
• Skin him to get Pork.
• Produce Light Ration in the Watchtower.

♦ Splinters on the Shore (Level 4)

• Get your quest from Nora.
• Go to the shipwreck marked on the map.
• You can see what you need to find on your map.
• Find the Ship's Roster.
• Find Ship's Manifest.
• Find Ship's Log.
• Search the ship for Records and Remnants.
• Find and open the chest in Blithe's Blunder.
• Climb both sides of the ship to retrieve the flags.
• Return to Nora and claim your reward.

♦ Hold the Line (Level 5)

• Meet with Nora and take your quest.
• Find Tideswallow Cave on the map and go there.
• Investigate the source of the Corruption.
• Proceed to the next area. Destroy the obstacles blocking the way.
• Defeat the enemy named Corrupted Chaplain.
• Return to Nora and claim your reward.

♦ Storms of the Horizon (Level 5)

• Talk to Nora and she will ask you to take some information to Sylvia Oakes.
• Open the map by pressing the “M” key and select First Light Settlement.
• While on the road, you may come across Drowneds, be careful.
• Talk to Sylvia and get your reward.

• Dig 40 stones. You can find the mines outside the Settlement.
• Collect 16 Tawhides. You can get it by skinning Wolves (Wolves) and Boars (Wild Boars).
• Gather 40 Green Woods. You can get it from bushes and trees.
• Return to campus.
• Craft 10 Timbers in the Workshop.
• Produce 10 Stone Blocks in the Stonecutting Table.
• Craft 4 Coarse Leathers in the Tannery (Leather Workbench).
• You can get your rewards by talking to Sylvia.

• Talk to Kim Jihoon and get the quest.
• Unlock the Heavy Satchel, the reward for the previous mission, and receive 90 Iron Ore (Iron Ore).
• Craft Iron Ingots in Smelter.
• Craft an Iron Longsword using the Forge.
• Return to Kim Jihoon and claim your reward.

• Talk to Gladis Bond and take your quest.
• Find faction representatives in each settlement.
• Talk to the Marauders.
• Talk to Syndicate.

• Talk to each faction representative. They will persuade you to join them and talk about their perspectives and strengths.
• Go and talk to Gladis Bond.
• Join the faction you are interested in. 
• You can activate the quest path by completing the first quests of the faction you joined.

♦ Commitment to the Cause (Level 9)

• You can get this quest by completing a quest from the Faction Board.
• Take faction quests until you have 300 Reputation. These quests are random quests with different content. By looking at the Faction Board, you can see which quests are given to you and activate them.
• Talk to your faction representative in the Settlement and get your rewards.

♦ The Old Man Who Cried Corruption (Level 12)

• You can take your quest from Gladis Bond.
• Do side quests and faction quests until your level is 12.
• To go to Spirit Shrine, open your map and do “Fast Travel”. You will use the Azoths given to you.
• Go to the Fisherman's Bend area and find the Mysterious Old Man. You can see it on the map.
• Talk to Yonas Alazar, the mysterious old man mentioned. Get your rewards.

♦ Old Stone Remembers

• Talk to Yonas and take your quest.
• Go to Alioth to find Hermit's Past clues. You can find it on the map and go easily.
• Search Alioth for clues.
• Search nearby ruins (ruins) to find Soulwarden's Oath.
• Dive deep into the ruins and find the last piece of Soulwarden's Oath. A powerful enemy awaits you in this area. Approach carefully and three people attack.
• Return to Yonas and claim your reward.

♦ A Lost Cause

• You can get the quest by talking to Yonas.
• Investigate Hermit's connection to Soulwarden. You will find a diary by following it on the map. read.
• Pass through the Soulwarden Seal and search the upper part of the Arcturus Tower. You will find the item you are looking for on the table. read.
• Defeat the Fallen Soulwarden. While fighting, you may encounter other enemies, fight carefully.
• Return to Yonas and claim your reward.

♦ The Last Soulwarden

• Get your quest from Yonas.
• Go to the Adamant Mine and look for clues to the Fall of Soulwardens. You can find it on your map.
• Enter the Adamant Mine and find the Soulwarden Memorial.
• Read the Epitaph standing on the Soulwarden Sarcophagus.
• Return to Yonas and claim your rewards.
