Marvel's Avengers is slated to receive a growing roster of heroes, but the beginning of this expansion has held back a bit. The first new character, Kate Bishop, aka Hawkeye, won't be coming this month. Crystal Dynamics announced the delay in a blog post detailing various changes to its roadmap. He calls this a "slight delay" but hasn't set a new release target for the new character.

"Looking forward, we plan to have a constant, predictable patch cycle to ensure that all new content meets both our and your high standards and we have time for extensive internal testing," the article states. "We know fans are hungry for new content, but our priority is to provide an enjoyable experience. With that in mind, we've decided to take the launch of Kate Bishop's Operation a little outside of October. We're sorry for this minor delay, but as a team, we're committed to quality first." Kate Bishop operation would be the first of a two-part Hawkeye story that would add Clint Barton in November. The blog didn't say whether this would also affect the release of Barton as the second character, but the post hints that both will come out before 2021. The studio will bring the biggest expansion next year. Current generation version with higher frame rates and faster load timesIt will work better on PS5 and Xbox Series X and Series S.
