We mentioned that Janna is dungeoning the lane withpoking abilities to other League of Legends champions and her range will be reduced. Additionally, the ability to deal magic damage based on movement speed will now be removed. Attack damage and movement speed will be slightly increased to compensate for these debuffs.
Meltem's W ability will have range adjusted, slow duration increased, and damage increased. However, the ability's cooldown will be greatly increased to prevent Janna from using it constantly in the lane.
Most of the buffs coming under the name of functionality will be made for the Q ability Howling Tornado . The ability now requires less mana, takes less time to dash farther, and finally goes much faster. The ability's damage to champions will increase, making it a more dangerous weapon than it currently is.

The planned changes didn't sit well with players who thought that Riot Games was trying to turn Janna into something other than a shield-granting goddess.
