Berkay “ Zeitnot ” Aşıkuzun, one of the most well-known ADCs in the Turkish League of Legends region, is now leaving the mouse and keyboard, according to a video made by his former team SuperMassive Esports today.
In the 22-minute farewell video, Zeitnot 's former teammates SnowFlower, GBM and Armut talk about what kind of player he is and wish him luck and happiness in retirement. Besides his world-class gameplay, Zeitnot was also known for his constantly burning competitive spirit.
Zeitnot has participated in two MSI and two World Championships, although he has not left the Turkish region throughout his career. His great love and passion for the game was rewarded in a local tournaments, but the ADC player never found success on the international stage.
It seems Zeitnot had some relief before retiring when SuperMassive Esports defeated a European team MAD Lions in the 2020 Worlds play - in stage. Zeitnot was talking about retirement on social media and in broadcasts at the time, but many fans believed he was joking or that he would eventually change his mind with the upcoming competitive season.
Armut, SnowFlower, KakAO and Bolulu; After deciding to pursue other opportunities in November, Zeitnot was the only player left in the SuperMassive roster. This initially gave the impression that the organization would build a new roster around star ADC players.
Retirement news confirms SuperMassive will create a new roster from the ground up; which is a rarity considering the team won TCL's last Summer Season.
While Zeitnot hasn't officially commented on his retirement, it looks like he'll start creating more content on YouTube and Twitch. Publishing mostly in Turkish , Zeitnot already has a large fan base in Turkey, which should make its transition relatively easy.
