Players of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on PlayStation 4 got lucky today, and Activision has released a free Battle Pack for Playstation Plus users. This free DLC Pack is for Call of Duty: Warzone, the new battle royale mode launching today.
DLC Pack includes Yegor Operator Skin 'Trackstar', Shotgun Blueprint for 'Showstopper', 'Skilltrack 56' Clock, 'Secret Transaction' Calling Card, 'Shattered' Weapon Charm and 60 Minute Dual XP Token.
Most of these are cosmetic and accessory unlocks that don't affect gameplay in any way, aside from the 60-minute double XP token. The Operator Skin unlocks Yegor, a loyalty character that can be played just like in the new Battle Royale mode.
The shotgun blueprint unlocks the Model 60 shotgun, an all-black camouflage shotgun with a blue band on the grip. This is purely cosmetic and only appears when holding the shotgun in game.
The War Pack isn't the only free content Playstation users can enjoy, as Call of Duty: Warzone doesn't require a Playstation Plus subscription to play online. Playing any online content on PS4 usually requires a subscription, but some games like Fortnite and Apex legends also don't require a PS Plus account; Call of Duty: Warzone is the latest exception. Xbox users will still need a valid Xbox Live Gold subscription to play Warzone online.
This is not the first timed exclusive Call of Duty content. Modern Warfare's Season 2 update included some PS4-exclusive DLC, while Survival mode for Spec-Ops is also PS4-exclusive until October 1, 2020.
Call of Duty: Warfare is available to Modern Warfare owners on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Call of Duty: Warzone Combat Pack is exclusive until October 1, 2020.
