An announcement from Bungie has been released for those who buy Destiny 2 .
Destiny 2 's Leviathan raid is already quite challenging. If you want more than a challenge, Bungie has come up with good news today. Raid's Hard mode Prestige will be available after a weekly reset on Tuesday, October 10 at 10:00 PT.
Bungie says you can't beat the raid on this super-hard level. "We don't expect everyone to be successful to complete this event, the mechanical changes to matches are minimal but they are there," Bungie said. The overall goal of Prestige difficulty is to make players a "more punishing sandbox" and challenge you to master it in your man and your exits.
There will be rewards for successful completion of the raid on the new difficulty, but Bungie said the goal is to "do no benefit to your character progression." Instead, players can expect "unique rewards to help you shine." Unfortunately, it's as specific as Bungie has, but more detailed information on the rewards will likely be announced soon.
Finally, Bungie confirmed that it will watch which fireteam can beat the Leviathan raid first on the Prestige difficulty. The Leviathan raid was broadcast live in September, a week after the game's launch. First team was able to finish in a few hours to beat the raid on Normal difficulty
