With the release of Deep Stone Crypt in Destiny 2 , a brand new Exotic weapon and armor piece is now available with the Beyond Light update.
Some require completing missions to reach them, while others have their own prerequisites.
With the Cloudstrike, a powerful sniper rifle that shoots down enemies with lightning, you'll need to complete a few missions before you can start earning Exotic.
One of them , Cloudstrike, is technically featured in the Empire Hunt event in Europe, but you should have a chance to catch it.
Here's everything you need to know to follow Cloudstrike and replenish your new weapon collection.
Variks , one of Europe's quest givers , has been handing out special Sabotage rewards since the expansion was released.
After the Deep Stone Crypt was added to the game , it became possible to access several previously hidden ones. First, you'll need to finish a story mission
To do this, you must go to Exo Stranger and take the story quest A Hard Rain Falls. This is a reference to how the world has changed as a result of a team completing the Deep Stone Crypt raid. Due to the destruction of the orbital platform that was part of the raid, one region of Europa is "overshadowed" every week. When you look at the Europa Director map, you will see which region is in shadow.
For our purposes, you just need to know that completing Hard Rainfalls requires you to go to the shaded area and complete the events. Kill enemies, recruit patrols and complete Public Events. You'll get the best progress in the quest by completing heroic Public Events and killing powerful enemies using orange and yellow health bars. Disable a few Heroics and you should complete the mission without too much trouble.
Now go to Variks. Finishing Hard Rainfalls should have filled a number of new Sabotage rewards that weren't available before (the rest are unlocked when you complete Exo Stranger's final story mission, Born of Darkness 4). The two rewards you must complete are the Europan Explorer I and the Europan Explorer II - the latter is only available once you have finished the first. Make sure you have a pretty decent stock of Herealways Pieces, as you'll need 10 to purchase the first bounty, 20 for the second, and 20 for one of the Empire Hunt quests if you've completed Variks' other upgrades. You can earn more in Herealways on Europa by completing Lost Sectors, killing High Value Objectives, and passing Public Events.
Both of these rewards are pretty simple. Europan Explorer I just want you to kill enemies on Europa with your various weapon types: 50 for Kinetic, 50 for Energy and 25 for Heavy. Europan Explorer II sends you to Empire Hunts where you have to kill a total of 30 powerful enemies. You can do this in an Imperial Hunt if you're careful - be careful not to kill any of the big boss enemies until you've destroyed all the small minions in any room.
After completing Europan Explorer II, you will gain access to Empire Hunts, where you can adjust the difficulty level from Adept to Master.
However, you won't find them in Variks' menu - new hunts appear at the top of the Europa Director Map. This means you can launch hunts from orbit. You also need to kill various enemies before you can unlock the Empire Hunt quest.
Each difficulty level of the Empire Hunts variant lists Cloudstrike as a potential reward. Unfortunately, the emphasis is on "potential" as Cloudstrike is listed as a "Rare" drop.
This means you can get it from Empire Hunt of variable difficulty, but you may not. The good news is that the rarity is the same for all difficulty levels, so you don't have to deal with harder hunts unless you really want to.
Unfortunately that's it. Once you unlock Empire Hunts of varying difficulty , simply complete them to get Cloudstrike. Keep working on Variks' Sabotage rewards and you can increase the Empire Hunt rewards by adding weekly pinnacle drops. But if you want the Exotic, you'll have to keep hunting until it drops for you.
