Cyberpunk 2077: Multiplayer Release Date

Coming Soon Multiplayer

Since its first trailer in 2012 , it has showcased a moody yet compelling mood detailing a violent sci-fi dystopia. This is to be expected, given that it's the new RPG from  " CD Projekt Red " , the developer behind The Witcher series .

Since E3 2018 , we've witnessed significant improvements from the game's inception to this day, showing various character creation and combat mechanics. The excitement of the game reached fever pitch when it was revealed that movie actor and internet idol Keanu Reeves would emerge as a pivotal character in the story. Since the game was officially announced, we've learned a lot about what " Cyberpunk 2077 " is all about, including its April 16, 2020 release date. We've compiled all the information we have so far about  " Cyberpunk 2077 " , from its first appearance to date :

What is Cyberpunk 2077?
Announced in 2012, Cyberpunk 2077 is a sci-fi action RPG in the framework of a first-person shooter. It is also CD Projekt Red's first AAA game following the release of "The Witcher III: The Wild Hunt" in 2015. game is based on CD Projekt Red's first Cyberpunk pen and paper RPG framework. Created by Mike Pondsmith, the original Cyberpunk 2020 takes place in the dystopian future of Northern California, where corporations, late capitalism and technology invade every aspect of everyday life. While not a direct adaptation of the pen and paper game, it predicts many of the concepts, archetypes and stories of Cyberpunk 2077. In a hidden message in the E3 2018 trailers, CDPR said,

"More than 2077 days have passed since we announced our plan to develop Cyberpunk 2077. We released a CGI trailer, gave some interviews and ... it was dark. The normal procedure for this kind of thing - you announce a game and then you shut up, we roll over Witcher 3 first" We wanted to have e and both expansions, so this downtime was longer than we planned. Sorry for that"

Will It Be Multiplayer?
At launch, Cyberpunk 2077 will definitely be a single-player RPG, but CD Projekt Red will download the multiplayer component of the game for free for all owners of the game. Initially, the developers were hesitant to say the game would be multiplayer, but we finally got confirmation during a presentation at Gamescom 2019. Unfortunately, there have been no concrete details about exactly what the multiplayer game will entail since this time. But at PAX Australia 2019, we spoke with John Mamais, president of CD Projekt Red Krakow, about his plans for the post-launch game mode. Mamais notes that they've decided what to do with microtransactions in the multiplayer game, but is aware that they can cause more trouble than they're worth if they're not placed properly.

"I think microtransactions after quitting a game is a bad idea," Mamais said. Said. "This looks like it's very profitable. It's probably a tough decision for the guy running the business to decide whether we should do the work. But if everyone hates it, why would we do something like this and lose our goodwill? and our customers?"

CD Projekt Red hired Canadian Studio Digital Scapes for the highly anticipated role-playing game alongside the Polish developer in 2018. Inexperienced Digital Scapes have worked with another Polish studio Techland in Dying Light's Be The Zombie PvP mode, but there is no word yet on how Digital Scapes contributes to Cyberpunk 2077.

Is It Done Yet?
Once the release date has been set, the final standout is for Cyberpunk 2077. CD Projekt Red has stated that the game is playable from start to finish, but that doesn't mean it's over. We don't know yet how far it is, but one thing you can count on are some changes from the 48-minute gameplay demo that's out there right now.

"What we released today was recorded from a game under development," said game director Adam Badowski. "Most of the assets and mechanics in the current version of Cyberpunk 2077 are likely to be replaced, so we initially decided to only show this game to the media. Elements like gunplay (how both visual and RPG stats affect it), netrunning, car physics or the game's UI - Everything is still in testing and we were uneasy about publicly committing to a particular design. Animation bugs, work in progress facial expressions, early releases of locations - all that made us hesitate to release what you're about to see."

“However, we also realize that many of you want to see what the media sees,” he continued. "While this isn't the game you'll likely see on screen at launch, we decided to share this 48-minute video with you. This is what Cyberpunk 2077 looks like today. Let us know what you think!"
