CoD: Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer Footage Leaked

As we approached the official reveal for Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, which will be held on September 9, a few minutes of multiplayer video has been leaked. The footage shows a 6v6 VIP Escort mode and gives some hints on the direction developer Treyarch is taking with this year's multiplayer mode. For starters, the low time to kill seems to have been hidden from last year's Modern Warfare, this time with health bars above the opponent's heads so you can see exactly how close you are to a kill.

The five add-on sections for weapons and the gear system that displays progress per weapon are also familiar. Each gear includes options for deadly, tactical and field upgrade slots as well as Wildcard slots. Packed with perks, with images of "Perk Greed" that lets you double the winnings, and "Danger Close" that fills you with more grenades. The mode itself features two teams of six defending or attacking a VIP, with only a single life per turn. The multiplayer factions here are the CIA and DGI, which fit the Cold War theme of the first Black Ops series. Matches seem to end with a Play of the Game style montage instead of just the final kill, but that may be specific to this game mode. Raven Software, which runs Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War , the game's politically charged single-player campaign , is taking on development duties with support studios across multiple Call of Duty series.
